Description
This model of a surfski is intended to be used to illustrate paddling technique.
The surfski is scaled 1:10 and as such can be used with the Carbon 13 figure at 130%.
When assembled, the surfski is 54 cm long!
It is split up into 4 sections, so it can be printed on my Crealty K1C printer.
There is one file with the complete surfski in four parts plus cylinders to be used for connecting the sections, and also separate objects for foot rest and rudder.
A second file is one of the sections (the one with the seat) in a version with mounting holes at the bottom, and a socket that can be attached to it. This can be used as a stand for presentation, and is also nice for taking pictures of paddling positions.
For use with Carbon 13, I include a file with some useful accessories:
Hands with round grip for holding a paddle. (remove a paddle blade)
Foot rests with feet attached, which makes it much easier to work with Carbon 13 in the boat.
Modified pelvis parts for Carbon 13 that allow more leg flexibility for the paddling position. (using negative parts - hope it also works for you)
And some paddles, of course...
The last file is a smaller version of the surfski in one piece and a stand to place it on top of a wave form - just for visualization. You will need to use support for printing the boat and preferably some rafting (lifting it up a few layers of support above the print plate). So don't print it at the same time as the other parts.
Generally, I advice you to split the objects into smaller groups and use different colours to make it all more visually pleasing. I have only worked in white so far, but I will add more pictures with other colours later.
BTW: If you have Carbon 13 in the original 1:13 scale, you could scale my layouts by 77% instead.
