Description
This allows you to adapt the shorty 2S LIPO to the Tamiya TT02.
- Modeled around the Protek 4800 Shorty 2S Lipo
- Hobbywing Stockspec ESC
- Minor chassis modification needed (one screw hole)
Additional parts needed:
- Battery hold down tabs, either make your own or use something like the XRAY XB2 battery holders.
Parts:
- ESC Tray
- Post for the front battery hold down.
- Wire bridge for keeping the wires down underneath the driveshaft (optional.)
Instructions:
- Install ESC tray, hold firmly in place and run a 3mm drill bit through the hole in the tray through the chassis.
- Countersink the chassis bottom hole.
- Install M3X12 FHCS through chassis into plate.
- Optional: secure the plate with think VHB tape.
- Remove the factory battery posts.
- Install the front post filler, use the OEM screw to hold from the bottom.
- If you use the wire bridge you will need to disassemble enough of the car to remove the driveshaft. You will also need to manually countersink this part and attach it with M3X8 FHCS. I did not design countersinks into the part and it could hit the driveshaft without this.
Printing: I recommend printing with PPA-CF for strongest results. Seems to be incredibly durable.
Battery holder needed:

4/27 edit - I made a couple of battery holder tabs and added the Bambu print file 'whole print package' this will have everything you need for printing on an X1C - you should be able to modify for other printers.
