IKEA Plant Pot Liner

Over time the galvanized pots made by IKEA tend to corrode and rust. This is due to runoff from watering pooling at the bottom. This liner protects the pot by providing a barrier that holds the excess water.

While designed for IKEA pots like Socker, Åkerbär or Daidai, it will probably fit similar ones with the same nominal size.

Sizes

I noticed some variability in the actual sizes of Socker. If the insert does not fit your pot, try the slim version or scale the model accordingly. Let me know in the comments if there are any issues.

The nominal size is taken from the product description, there are files for the following:

• 12 cm / 4 ¾ " / 1 l

  • inner ⌀ at the top: 13 cm (if closer to 12.5 cm use slim version)

• 19 cm / 7 ½ " / 4.5 l

  • inner ⌀ at the top: 21 cm

• 24 cm / 9 ½ " / 8.2 l

  • inner ⌀ at the top: 25 cm

Printing Instructions

Use vase mode/spiralize contour with a line width of at least 0.6 mm.

In warm climates you might want to use something other than PLA as the pots can get pretty hot.
