Hairy Bunny / Furry Bunny

Disclaimer: This model was originally designed as an easter decoration. Please be aware that I can by no means guarantee the model to be safe to use as a toy. If you give 3D printed toys to children, please keep them under supervision. Neither did I intend a use as a toy, nor do I have any influence on the part's stability, the material choice (and so on) when you print the part yourself. If printed in a small size or in case parts of the model break off (e.g. along the layer lines when FFF-printed), it is to be considered a choking hazard, especially for very young children!

A cute Easter Bunny in a gently furry and a wildly hairy version. There is also the plain version as an STL.

The furry bunny uses prusaslicer's fuzzy skin feature (and thus requires prusaslicer). The 3mf comes with the necessary settings and some added modifiers to disable fuzzy skin for the bunny's eyes, inside of the ears and the nose. Note that you are not going to see the fuzzy skin before slicing. After slicing, it is visible (see screenshot). However, support is not added in the 3mf. You can add supports to make sure the head and the “lower” ear print well. But the bunny also prints well without any supports. Do not mind the blobby parts on the 3mf in the 3D viewer. These are the modifiers that disable the fuzzy skin for the eyes, nose and part of the ears.

The hairy version has no software-specific requirements. You just need to make sure the hairs are printed correctly. To make them prinatble, select “detect thin walls” in prusaslicer. Also supports cannot be added in a reasonable way due to the hair - still, the bunny prints fine without any supports (as mentioned above). And just to be sure: Do not use supports for the hairs, they are supposed to be drawn into the air. I recommend using PLA for the hairy version because it has a low enough temperature resistance to use a hair drier to change the hair style.

About the prints: I printed the hairy bunny using silver PLA and the furry one using Prusament PETG Signal White, both with 0.1mm layer height, using a brim.

About this model being a remix: I changed the pose of the head, the ears and the feet. I also slightly changed the face.
