Description
There are tons of models for the Jedi Crusader Pendant floating around and while they look great, they suffer from thin walls in the name of accuracy. I started thinking about what this prop is supposed to be, what another variation could look like and how I would go about designing a saber core that doubles as a relic. And this is that result!
My last design set out to bump up the walls so the design could be stronger but I fell into the trap of just adjusting what was already used - screws. I don't think that was the right move. This version uses a simple 4 prong, pressure fit, slide and twist lock mechanism. Strong enough to hold your crystal in place, light enough to twist without force.
Both the upper bodies and the lower locks feature a 20mm inner diameter which should be able to accommodate any official or custom kyber crystal. The lower restriction point is just shy of 15mm to keep your crystal from falling out. The new upper portions are designed with a coliseum inspiration which allows for long windows to let natural light pass through.
Photos below show it with our custom crystals as well as a black kyber from Galaxy's Edge.
Easy to print and ready to wear! You can have the tall and short versions printed in ~ 1 hour, pending your own settings.
