Print Settings & Tips
To get the best results (and avoid any "stringy" logos), I recommend the following settings:
Material: PLA is recommended for stiffness to maintain the "spring" of the clip. If you want more flexibility and durability, TPU works great but will be much softer.
Layer Height: 0.2mm works perfectly. If you want the logo detail to be even sharper, you can drop to 0.12mm for the top layers.
Infill: 100% (Solid). Since the model is thin, you want maximum structural integrity for the clipping mechanism.
Top Surface Pattern: Use "Monotonic" or "Hilbert Curve" for the top surface to get a high-end, professional look on the flat areas of the bookmark.
Ironing: If your printer is well-tuned, enabling Ironing on the topmost surfaces will give the "NY" logo a smooth, injection-molded finish.
To get the two-tone effect shown in the photos:
Slice the model and identify the layer where the bookmark body ends and the "NY" logo begins.
Add a Pause or M600 (Filament Change) command at that layer height.
Start with your base color (e.g., Red or Navy) and swap to your accent color (e.g., White or Blue) for the logo.
