Description
This kinetic spiral combines rotational movement, pendulum motion and subtle contact-based sound interaction.
The outer spiral rotates and reacts to the wind, while the freely suspended internal pendulum moves independently and creates subtle contact sounds as it interacts with the spiral body.
Optional bottom weights allow different movement characteristics and pendulum behavior.
This kinetic wind chime uses an interchangeable pendulum system.
Different weight profiles can be attached to change movement behavior, balance and contact interaction.
Available variants:
• Dynamic Pendulum Weight

The weights are provided as separate modular models and can be exchanged without modifying the main spiral body.

Indoor and outdoor use
The outer spiral reacts quickly to wind movement and rotates freely.
Inside the structure, the independently suspended pendulum moves with a different inertia and creates subtle contact sounds as it interacts with the spiral body.
To maximize free movement and reduce mechanical resistance, the components are connected using a thin suspension string. This allows the pendulum and spiral body to move independently and respond naturally to airflow.
Different bottom weights can be attached to influence pendulum behavior and movement characteristics.

Material: PLA or PETG
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Recommended wall count: 3
Infill: 10–15%
Supports: not needed
The pendulum is suspended inside the spiral body using a thin string connection, allowing it to swing and move freely inside the structure.
Bottom weights can be attached depending on the desired movement behavior and pendulum inertia.
For best rotational performance, a swivel hook or rotating suspension is recommended.
The movement behavior and sound interaction depend on:
Wind conditions
Weight configuration
Suspension length
Print weight and material
For best results, use lightweight print settings and smooth outer walls to reduce resistance and improve rotational movement.
