This storage system fits very nicely into the design of the MK4S and MK4. Store all tools and parts you need to maintain your printer on the printer itself! I designed many different drawers and bodies so you can choose parts that fit your needs and preferences. Included step files so you can design your own parts if the defaults don't fit your need.

There are five drawers with a basic design for general storage and two with a more purposeful design for nozzles and tools. The nozzle drawer can hold up to 12 Nextruder nozzles with a nozzle tool. The tool drawer can hold most of the tools you got with your printer and some spare parts.

The cutout on the right side drawers is to prevent them from bumping into the USB.

Printing

Any filament will work but I recommend you print the body in a filament that can handle some heat, like PETG or ABS/ASA, due to it's proximity to the heatbed.

Print all parts in the given orientation. Only the body needs supports for the tab on the top.

All handles can be printed without support except for the bar handle. While it looks great, it's harder to print and the weakest of all handle types.

Body footprint:

Inside of an empty drawer:
80,2mm (w) x 153mm (d) x 30,3mm (h) 

Hardware

For one pair of drawers:

• 6x M3 x 10mm countersunk screw

• 6x M3 T nut for 3030 profile

Installation

To install the drawers you'll need a 5mm Allen key and a phillips screwdriver.

Screw the countersunk screws into T nuts slightly and allign them in a line to insert them in the 3030 profile.

Remove one of the screws on the front plate of the MK4S and place the drawer body in the 3030 profille. Then screw the front screw back in.

Lastly tighten the screws on the inside of the body to clamp the body to the printer. Be careful not to strip the screws.

You can now add in the drawers by rotating them in! The drawer stops will prevent the drawers from flying out, but they are still easy to remove so you can access the contents anywhere easily.
