Description
A remix of the official Bambu Lab re-useable spool, via Joshua Smith and Blizzard's Improved versions.
Changes
This version presents an alternative spoked flange pattern, which is quicker to print than the usual hexagonal lattice.
Compatibility
For use with refill packs of Bambu Labs "Panda Food" size (Ø 82.5 x Ø 200 x W 60 mm).
This format, also made by others such as 3DQF, is now a common and slightly cheaper alternative to filaments with a disposable spool.
Notched vs Un-notched
As with the Blizzard version, there are two options for the "Wide Part" of the spool. One has the tab feature to fit the notch of Bambu Labs equipment. The other option is for notchless axles.
The "Narrow Part" is the same in each case.
The neat twist-and-click joint is unchanged, and works really well.
Material
I printed it in PLA+ from 3DQF.
Consider a more heat-resistant material if you'll use the spool inside a heated chamber.
Source Model & Remixing
There is a FreeCAD source model, which is mostly built from imported STLs and therefore quite crude.
But by editing the Spokes_LAYOUT sketch, you can make your own sidewall pattern.
Update can take several minutes, so it helps to select "Skip Recomputes" beforehand, then manually refresh afterwards.
