Description
Have you gotten tired of breaking your air vent blades from mounting phone holders onto them?
Or maybe you just don’t want to glue anything to your dashboard.
Have you ever looked at the fake/non-functional buttons in your Jeep Grand Cherokee and wondered why they couldn’t actually be useful?
Now they can be :)
After many design iterations, I created a phone mount that clips directly into the unused dashboard buttons found in higher-trim vehicles.
This design is compatible with:
Jeep Grand Cherokee (2011–2015)
Dodge Durango (2011–2015)
Unfortunately, I can’t guarantee compatibility with other vehicles.
Important Notes
This download only includes the dashboard mount itself.
The magnetic phone attachment is not included. and quite frankly since you are here, you most probably have some just laying around the house, take out that head and just install it onto the mount.
MagSafe-compatible magnets and magnetic mounts are already widely available, inexpensive, and generally better purchased separately rather than 3D printed.
Installation
After printing the model, install a 3.5 × 25 mm drywall screw into the mount.
This significantly increases the strength and reliability of the part.
The design includes two attachment options:
Designed for MagSafe magnets or similar magnetic mounting systems.
Designed for phone cases with rotating MagSafe kickstands.
This attachment helps prevent the phone from spinning while driving.
Dashboard Removal
To install the mount:
Remove the dashboard trim following this video:

This design is open source.
Keep the internet free and accessible for everyone.
