Intro
Gotta catch ‘em all! This model is a collection of 28 different designs, all based on my original MakerChip Carrying Case (listed here as a remix). You can read more about it there, but essentially, I created a carrying case made to hold up to 154 MakerChips, and gave it a print-in-place handle so you can easily carry it around events, in order to easily have a bunch on hand to pass out as well as have a place to put the ones you receive.
The issue, however, was that the design itself looked a bit… bland, to say the least. So in the spirit of catching all the MakerChips you can, I made 28 different designs based on all 28 Poke Balls used in the main series of Pokemon games. They’re all designed to have a maximum of two colors in any given layer, so I highly recommend you print this with a dual nozzle printer if you have access to one.
The exception to this rule would be the Poke Ball, Premier Ball, and Park Ball, as all of those can be printed simply by pausing the print and manually swapping filament colors out as needed. Other than that, you can see all the different designs and their names in the included images, which correspond to included STEP files and premade 3mf files. Just select the 3mf of your choice, print it out, snap on the Latches to the Top and the Top to the Bottom, and you’re ready to load it up with holders and Chips!
I only printed and verified the Poke Ball, Master Ball, and Dusk Ball, so all the other 25 3mfs have yet to be tested! Granted, the model geometry is all essentially the same, so you should be fine printing any of them out. If you’re seeing this on a site that allows you to upload print profiles, please feel free to upload the 3mf as-is of any Ball you printed that doesn’t already have a print profile up. It’ll help everyone out, so there’s no need to give the points to me!
Here’s additional info pulled directly from the original:
In my experience, MakerChip carriers are one of two things: They’re either meant to carry as many Chips as possible, OR they’re meant to display them–never both.
Just like the Pokemon Coin Case I adapted it from, this case is made to hold as many Chips as possible while still allowing enough space between Chips to make them visible at a glance. This is especially helpful when taking MakerChips to exchange at events; a max of 154 can be swapped out with other Makers’ Chips in such a way that they don’t get buried by other Chips should you want to locate them again later in the event.
Note that it's made specifically for 3mm-thick Chips; older 3.5mm ones may not fit properly.
Other features include:
14 removable Holders carrying up to 11 Chips each
Compliant grippers to keep the Chips from falling out of the Holders
Butterfly-style latches to keep the Chips safely inside when not in use
180-degree rotating hinge
A Print-in-Place handle more than strong enough to carry an entire case full of Chips

Assembly
Put the two Latches into place on the front of the Top. Make sure you orient them the correct way–when you close the case, it should be easy to get your finger underneath them and unlatch them. If you mess up, just pop it off and put it back on the other way.
Put the Top and Bottom next to each other such that both have the open side facing up. Then, put the hinges of the Bottom over those on the Top, and press down firmly to snap them together.
Slide all 14 Holders into their slots in the Bottom.
Close the Top, latch them shut, and fold the Handle up so it fits in the slots on the Top, if you printed the version with the Handle.
Do the reverse to open it, and voila! May your MakerChips be always safe from harm.
Conclusion:
Thanks for reading to the end! I also have entered this into the JRRF MakerChip contest, so please vote for it if you think it’s worth winning!
I have no idea what the prize is, but I want to win regardless!
