Description
Here is a replacement part for the Olympus 35RC camera. These cameras originally used 625 mercury batteries, now unavailable (and illegal to produce). The 675 zinc-air hearing aid battery is a good replacement but requires care in inserting it in the camera, perhaps using a spacer. If you're already repairing this part of the camera, perhaps due to broken wiring, you could replace the battery holder with this version which fits a 675 battery perfectly.
Remove the old holder from the body. It's glued in place and can be pulled out with pliers. See the two photos of the black (original) Olympus holder. These photos are licensed CC-attribution by Zaphad https://www.flickr.com/photos/25797459@N06/ - thank you Zaphad. Remove the wire, screw, nut, and contact spring from the old holder.
Print the holder with supports so the little pegs on the bottom stick out. If necessary, clean up the pegs so they fit in the holes in the camera body. If necessary, solder the wire to the nut. Replace the spring contact, screw, and nut in the new holder. You can glue the holder into the body or simply let the camera bottom plate hold it in place.
