Description

Adding a quick description for now.

Elegoo published an adapter to allow for use of flexible filament with their CANVAS system for the Centauri Carbon 1 (and also CC2). However, it has a main problem: it does not work with the fittings they show. It is shown with PTFE collets and clipping in PTFE tubing, but standard sized ones are too small. It appears the model was originally designed with the common metal encased fittings. They updated the model to allow normal collets to snap in, but they are still not functional.

What needs to happen is tha

  • the collets need to be able to be pushed all the way flush with the adapter

  • as the collects get pulled out by the clips, they need to be pushed tight against the PTFE tubing

Since even the updated model from Elegoo is not doing this, PTFE tubing pushed in will not be locked in place as intended. This remix adds a proper fix that will lock tubing into place while still allow removal once the retaining clips are removed.

In case adjustments need to be made I have included the end pieces (both positive and negative) that I used to correct the model, along with the FreeCAD source to make adjustments. The lower placement is the only one that should need the negative/cutout model, and that should be placed at the same coordinates as the lower positive one.
