I designed the Happy Hug because let’s be honest: our desks can be a bit boring sometimes. I wanted to create a character that doesn't just hold a plant, but actively cheers you up. After tweaking the facial expression and the "open-arm" pose to ensure it looks welcoming from every angle, the Happy Hug was born. It’s a celebration of positivity in 3D-printed form.
Why the Happy Hug is a must-print:
Versatile Companion: It’s not just a home for your favorite cactus or succulent. Use it as a happy pen holder to keep your desk organized, a cute makeup brush stand in the bathroom, or a cheerful spoon holder in the kitchen.
Emotional Design: Whether it’s a gift for a loved one or a treat for yourself, the "hugging" gesture makes it the perfect "Thinking of You" or Mother’s Day surprise.
To achieve that high-end, designer look, I recommend:
Matte Textures: Matte PLA in Sand, Terracotta, or Clay gives it a beautiful ceramic feel that hides layer lines perfectly.
Natural Vibes: Using Wood-filled filaments makes it look like a hand-carved art piece.
Kawaii Pastel: Soft mint, baby pink, or lemon yellow turn it into an adorable eye-catcher for any shelf.
Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid is my favorite for strength).
Walls: 2-3 walls.
Layer Height: 0.16mm for high detail, or 0.2mm for a faster print.
Scale: Fully scalable! Scale it up for a large kitchen organizer or down for tiny air plants.
