Description
Note: This model is just the duct, from the C1 exhaust to the side of the printer, it's not the adapter ring (as also seen in the photos).
Like the original, the duct protrudes 75mm from back face of printer.
All parts are designed to print without supports BUT I did pop about a 2cm height of supports at the base of the model just to help. PETG is recommended because it has very strong adhesion with the Smooth PEI sheet that the Core One comes with. Just make sure you wait for your bed to cool all the way down before trying to remove PETG from the smooth plate.
And again, like the original, there is a mild Duct Interference Issue but there is a fix:
There is some intentional interference with the end of the duct and the corner of the printer. This serves to improve rigidity at the end of the duct and provide a more solid feel. That being said, a lot of people don't like this, and can even cause poor sealing around the fans in some cases. The original author made an optional spacer to reduce/eliminate interference. I used this as I found I had to!!! I printed it in TPU 95A and it fits well and snug! See "Optional 3mm Spacer" in the original model.
This remix has 2 variants. RIGHT and LEFT. Each one presents the adapter plate at the relevant side of the Core One.
When the INDX lands (FE Edition for me) and there is an issue, I will be remixing this again to suit).
