I wanted to say a big "thank you" to Markus - the author of the source. The personal reason is the Urban-I is the only affordable helmet that fits to my 64 cm sized head comfortably, taking the XL version. The included light by Abus is somehow sub-optimal. So I went for Markus' solution using the Büchel Micro Lens. The only thing that I didn't like is the beam angle of the backlight that is directed more to the sky and not to the traffic behind. I wanted to direct it in parallel to the road. So, time for a remix.

The first option I tried was to just put an additional angle between the base and the mount part. But somehow I found it to be a bit bulky. So I tried another option, putting it in the lower triangle hole. Your base is too big for that, so I resized it 91% in x and y, 128% in z direction, and rearranged the mount together with some bevel. Here is the result.

The only thing is that it came out very slightly too large in x and y. Some sanding made it fit. In the end I liked the tight fit, as the hooks don't have the same hard rim to snap into. I suppose that printing with 99% should result in a good fit. I didn't reprint as I use only one helmet ;-).

Hope this helps other bikers as well - not only those with oversized heads ;-).

PS: Now you have the original backlight as a security spare with you.

Happy and safe biking to all of you!
