Description
A portable loop that i made based on the mla30 +
Things you need:
16x14mm tube (i used glass fiber)
Wire for the loop about 2205mm length (i used 4,00mm2)
2x 4mm eye crimp connectors + some heat shrink
4x m4x15 bolt including nuts
4x 2mm parker screw for the cable guides and the ground pin (if you use the pin)
5x tent pole locking clip (for 6mm hole)
To get i tight cable loop push the tubes completely into the cross section (so that the locking clips are beyond the lock hole) crimp and solder one eye loop on the wire place the wire around the frame and guess the length by testing it need to be a bit of a loos fit, after that crimp and solder the other loop eye on the wire. If you pull out all the 3 tubes so that the locking pin engages the wire should have a little bit of tensionengtion.
Cutting the tubes:
3x 375mm
1x 580mm
Holes that you need to cut in the tubes:
For the 375mm tubes 1x 6mm hole 28mm form the end of the tube to the center of the hole
For the 580mm tube 1x6mm hole ad 28mm 1x 6mm hole ad 400mm both form the end of the tube to the center of the hole.
For all the tubes its not that much important where the 2mm holes will be for cable guides and ground pin screws.
To drill the holes in glass fiber or carbon use glass hole drills (see pics)
When you drill, cut or sand glass fiber and carbon use appropriate protection the protect your health!
This way you get a square loop of approx 800mm from tip to tip
