3D-printable adapter - Reverse PSU mounting bracket

Project Overview

This is a custom-engineered 3D printed reverse PSU mounting bracket specifically designed for the Dell Vostro 3670 (and similar Dell SFF/Mini Tower cases). While these Dell cases technically fit a standard ATX power supply, the screw holes are oriented in a "reverse" pattern. This causes a major issue: if you align the holes, the PSU fan faces downward and is completely choked by the case.

This bracket solves that problem by allowing you to mount a standard ATX PSU with the fan facing upward, ensuring proper airflow and cooling while keeping the installation secure.

• Optimized Airflow: Reverses the mounting orientation so the PSU fan pulls fresh air from the top instead of being blocked.

• Perfect Alignment: Bridges the gap between the proprietary Dell case mounting holes and standard ATX PSU screw positions.

Print Settings

• Material: ASA or PETG is highly recommended due to the heat generated by the power supply. PLA is not recommended for this functional part.

• Infill: 40% to 50% (Gyroid or Grid) for structural strength.

• Wall Loops: 3 or 4 walls to ensure the screw holes are solid.

• Supports: No supports required if printed flat.

Hardware Required

• 4x M3 Screws: To secure the bracket to the PC case.

• 4x Standard PSU Screws: To secure the bracket to the power supply.
