Description
Add Z-Wave environmental monitoring to your Prusa USS Drybox using the ZOOZ ZSE44 Temperature/Humidity Sensor. This mount securely holds the ZSE44 and slides directly into the existing hygrometer slots inside the Prusa USS Drybox.
***** Modification to the Prusa USS Drybox required *****
Perfect for integrating your filament storage into home automation platforms such as:
Home Assistant
Hubitat
SmartThings
Other Z-Wave compatible systems
The ZSE44 slides easily into the holder while remaining accessible for battery replacement and maintenance.
Designed specifically for the ZOOZ ZSE44 sensor
Fits the Prusa USS Drybox hygrometer slot location
No supports required
Tight, secure fit
Quick sensor installation and removal
Compatible with multiple filament types
Great for humidity monitoring of filament storage environments
The Prusa USS Drybox lid includes a small molded plastic tab intended to retain the original hygrometer. This tab must be removed or trimmed flush for the mount to fit correctly. The modification is simple and can be completed with flush cutters, side cutters, or a hobby knife.
During testing, we found that the factory hygrometer still maintained a snug fit even after removal of the retaining tab.
Please review the included photos for the exact tab location.
Note: Modifying the Prusa USS Drybox will likely void any manufacturer warranty.

Notes
Printer calibration is important.
This model uses relatively tight tolerances to achieve a secure fit for both the ZSE44 and the Drybox mounting slots.
If your printer is over-extruding or dimensional accuracy is off, fitment may be tight.
Minor sanding or slight scaling adjustments may be required depending on your printer calibration and filament characteristics.
Print the mount
Remove the small retaining tab from the Prusa USS Drybox lid
Pair the sensor with your home automation platform
Insert the ZOOZ ZSE44 sensor into the holder, making sure the hygrometer vent holes are positioned between the 2 tabs as shown in the included photos
Slide the mount into the hygrometer slot location in the base of the drybox
Monitor humidity and temperature in your filament drybox
