Description
Add a vibrant, romantic touch to your room or desk with this DIY standing RGB Neon Heart sign! Much like my Butterfly design, this model houses a standard RGB strip and uses a custom-fitting diffuser to create a smooth, continuous "neon" look without harsh hotspots.
This version is designed as a free-standing desk lamp, so there are no wall mounting options included. It also features an optional file for a laser-cut plexiglass inlay if you want to add an extra premium look to the center of the heart!
⚠ Important Note: The included base stand files (Base and Base Cover) are currently untested. Feel free to try them out and let me know how they fit!
Files Included & Assembly:
Heart: The main channel to route and stick your RGB strip.
Diffusor: Diffuses the RGB light perfectly. Note: This part needs to be attached to the main body using super glue (CA glue).
Base & Base Cover (UNTESTED): The free-standing base for the heart.
Possible glas Inlay: An optional .stl template for laser cutting a custom plexiglass center piece.
RGB Heart.f3d: The original Fusion 360 source file for easy customization and remixing!
Hardware Required:
RGB Strip: Standard RGB strip.
Controller & Power: A matching RGB controller (with remote) and power supply.
Super Glue (CA Glue): Required to attach the diffuser to the heart.
Recommended Print Settings:
Heart Main Body / Base: Print in opaque PLA, PETG, or ABS (Black or White) to prevent light bleeding through the back and sides.
Diffuser: Must be printed in White, Clear, or Translucent PLA/PETG to allow the RGB colors to pass through smoothly.
Layer Height: 0.2mm works perfectly.
Infill: 15% - 20%.
Supports: No supports needed if all parts are oriented flat on the build plate.
