(8) Tool Adapters

These are an assortment of Tool Adapters for dust collection that I've designed. Feel to ask for custom sizes or modifications and I'll see what I can do for you.

AVAILABLE ADAPTERS:

Ridgid shop vac: 2.5'' Threaded Tapered End - Ridgid SV - This has one end threaded so it can be attached to a flex hose without needing a clamp to hold it in place and the other end a hose can be slipped into the port of the shop vac. Note: This is split into two parts for easier non supported parts that should slip tightly and glued together.

• Upper:  OD = 2.175" (w/ slight taper) ID = 1.9" (1.3375 " long)

• Lower: OD =2.456" ID = 1.9" (1.075" long )

• OD of thread: 2.628"

• Stop:  OD = 3" ID = 2.87 (0.315" deep)

• Total Height: 2.4125 "

DeWalt D26451 Sander Adapter: Dewalt 5'' Disc Sander Adapter - This is an adapter to connect the sander to a shop vac.

• To sander: 0.93" wide 2.365" long 1.25" deep (inner dimensions) w/ 0.118" wall

• To hose: OD = 1.436" ID = 1.2" (1.5" long)

DeWalt DWE6421 Sander Adapter: Dewalt 5'' Disc Sander Adapter - RND - This is an adapter to connect the sander to a shop vac.

• To sander: OD = 1.696" ID = 1.47" (1" long)

• To hose: OD = 1.436" ID = 1.2" (1.5" long)

GMC Miter Saw: GMC Dust Chute - This is dust chute that bolts up behind the blade to replace the stock metal plate. Note: I added an additional tab w/ holes on the left side for extra security. You'll just need to drill and tap the holes in the saw. I also add a piece of a silicone mat to this for extra dust collection.

• GMC Dust Port: This is an adapter to connect the miter saw to a shop vac. Note: There are two versions of this - one straight and one with a 15° angle.

  • To saw: OD = 1.7425" ID = 1.555" (1.375" long)

  • To hose: OD = 2.5" ID = 2.3125" (1.5" long) Total Height = 2.875 "

• GMC Plate Dust Chute - This is dust chute that goes below the base plate to help direct the dust up to the dust chute. This is made to be a press fit.

  • Length: 2.5"

  • Height: 0.848"

  • Gap: 0.5"

  • Width: 1.5" front 0.9" wide back

  • Radius: 2.75" back 0.75" bottom

Makita RT0701C Trim Router: Threaded Side Cutting / TSC - Lock Nut - This was based off a few designs I've seen for collecting the dust when flush trimming, or doing round over or chambered edges. The only problem with them was that you had to remove the base each time to install or removed it. I designed this one to go underneath the base and locking in place with the threaded lock nut from inside the base. The lock nut could also be left slightly loose so the dust port can rotate if needed. There is also an extra STL file (TSC - Support) to use if needed to help support the outer part of the middle ring when printing.

• Height: 1.4" (below the base) 

• Threads: .4" (above base)

• Outer Diameter (OD): 1.37"

• Inner Diameter (ID): 1.055"

• Ring in the middle: 0.1" thick

• Total Height: 1.9"

PRINTING NOTES:                                                                                                                                                                           

• Resolution: 0.15-0.2        

• Infill: 50-100%

• Supports: No (unless noted)

• 2.5'' Threaded Ends (all) - There is an additional STL for a custom support for the outer ring. Turn off any setting that ensure parts to stay separated and center them both in your slicer to align them up. Don't forget to make the support part so it prints as a support.
