Description
Just plain and simple shower curtain rings...
I tried printing a variety of existing shower curtain hooks/rings, but I wasn't satisfied with any of them. So I decided to combine the best features of some of the best ones, while trying to improve them and fix any flaws or issue.
Update: I have added a second version that is slightly shorter(60mm vs normal 70mm inside measurement).
Printing:
I suggest printing them in PETG for better flexibility and less friction when sliding. But other filaments might work too.
Place them with the small built-in brim segments on the build plate. Make sure the build plate is clean as they have relatively low bed adhesion area. I have added a second version with an additional little brim section on the thin end of the ring, in case of problems with it peeling off the build plate during printing.
Layer height: ~0.15mm
Perimeters: ~4
If printing multiple at once, I suggest using "Complete individual objects" to reduce them loosening from the build plate during the otherwise longer printing period. Otherwise you might need to use full brims.
Assembly:
Simply cut the small brims off with a sidecutter or pinch them off with your nails.
Loop the hook through the shower curtain rings and over the rail and push the locking mechanism together.
