Description

High-Precision Bench Vise (Anti-Flex)

This vise is designed to guarantee maximum stability and mechanical precision, completely eliminating the flexing, lateral play, and jamming issues typical of 3D-printed vises.
1. Mechanics and Structural Rigidity
  • Triple-Guide System: The three-guide structure ensures perfect linear translation. This eliminates any lateral wobble and prevents the moving jaw from misaligning or binding during tightening.

  • Screw Orientation: To ensure maximum mechanical strength, the main lead screw must be printed horizontally. This aligns the layers along the length of the shaft, providing significantly higher tensile and torsional resistance compared to vertical printing, where the threads risk delaminating under load.

2. Capacity and Dimensions
  • Table Mounting: Compatible with surface thicknesses ranging from 5 mm to 32 mm. The lower mounting screw has a maximum opening of 35 mm.

  • Jaw Capacity: Allows you to securely clamp objects up to 50 mm wide.

3. Print Settings and Materials
  • Body and Structure (PETG): PETG is highly recommended for its excellent mechanical strength and low tendency to deform under constant load (creep).

    • Walls: At least 3.

    • Infill: Between 15% and 30%.

  • Clamping Screws (PETG): Set infill strictly to 100% to ensure maximum thread durability. Remember to print them horizontally.

  • Interchangeable Pads (TPU): Print these in flexible material to increase grip and protect clamped workpieces from scratches and marks.

    • Standard/Rigid Use: Infill between 50% and 100%.

    • Delicate Use: Infill between 15% and 20% to create a cushioning effect for fragile components.

4. Assembly and Maintenance
The model is engineered with very tight tolerances to prevent any mechanical play or accidental loosening during use. For optimal performance:
  • Lubrication Required: It is essential to apply a thin layer of grease (lithium or silicone-based) to the moving parts, specifically inside the guide tracks and on the screw threads.

  • Benefits: Grease ensures smooth movement, drastically reduces friction, and prevents premature wear of the plastic contact points, delivering a smooth and professional-grade feedback.
