Description
The Temset radiator uses a valve for which no adapters seem to exist. But for the installation of an eQ-3 eqiva thermostat, an M30x1.5 thread is required.
The adapter makes it possible to install such a thermostat but the pin of the valve cannot be reached by it. To work around this problem, a stable and free moving cylinder has to be added to transfer the force between the two components. Two variants for this "pin pusher" exist:
* with metal rod as core (preferred)
* solid printed cylinder
This adapter was constructed with the help of Ralf Baumann from Sternenlabor e. V. (Plauen)
The Adapter was printed with 100% infill.
The pin pusher with hole can be printed with reduced infill. But it is important to add a 13 mm rod with 6mm diameter in the middle. It might also be possible to print a solid 13mm high cylinder with a 20mm diameter - but no long term tests were performed with it.
The embossed circle on the nut-ring has to be rotated to be over a free slot. The ring can then be shifted carefully away from the radiator with the help of a screw driver
The thermostat head must then be pulled carefully away from the radiator to remove it
Just place the adapter over the ring and check that it clicked in
Assemble the pin pusher cylinder and place it inside the eqiva e-Q3
Screw the e-Q3 to the adapter and start the calibration process
