Description
Uses a flat Li-Ion battery (recycled from a laptop, or feel free to buy a new one) and AliExpress parts. The battery size should not exceed 56 x 81 x 6 mm. The output is a cable ending in a plug of your choice (USB-C recommended, as it plugs directly into most phones). The series resistor is 12Ω; the 1W LED requires no cooling. The PCB has 4 blue LEDs to indicate power level — for this window, cut a small piece of plexiglass, 3.5 x 10 mm. Fix the parts in position with epoxy glue. To close the assembly, I used a laser-engraved aluminum plate (size 56 x 101 mm) with phone numbers and other important information, in case the smartphone breaks down... It also makes a great personal gift for your friends, with their indestructible data bank on the cover!
