[ clip system 16mm aluminium tubes ]
In the Ally folding canoes, 16mm aluminium tubes are held in place by clips.
These clips somehow seem to be difficult to buy at the moment, so I decided to design a 3D-printable model for it.
I also designed two variants with 3.5mm holes in them for tube fixation with 3mm screws or blind rivets.
As the actually drilled holes in the tube material seems to have quite large tolerances, maybe the option to drill the needed holes in the full material is the more practical one.

The material recommended is PETG, as during usage the clip has to withstand strong forces.
The design requires printing with supports.
I chose organic supports which could be removed surprisingly easy and resulted in a quite nice surface quality.
Printed with SUNLU PETG (Black).

(brim: not required for satin)

(colour: Black or as you like ;-)
Stay afloat & Enjoy!!!
