Description
This alignment tool should work with all NA, NB and ND clutches. It may also work with the NC 5-speed (the NC 6-speed has different splines). It will fit other Mazdas and possibly some Fords that use the same transmission input shaft design.
Created this because I didn't like how loose the tool that came with my replacement clutch was.
This version is based on measurements from my OEM clutch and flywheel bearing. It is sized to exactly match the 5-speed transmission in my 1994 Miata.
I recommend printing the top ~30mm of the model as a size test for your clutch and bearing. Your printer and filament probably won't have the exact same tolerance and shrinkage as mine. This file printed on my Bambu P1S with PETG results in a 14.9mm diameter for the pilot bearing shaft (modeled 15.06mm).
Update - I realized the rectangular base was too big to fit through the pressure plate fingers. Otherwise, the tool fits tightly enough that it can hold the clutch disc up on its own. Changed the base to a hexagon (so it doesn't roll away)
