Description
The model includes two versions with color painting.
The five-tool version (red chameleon in the sample pictures) takes advantage of Prusa ColorMix, creating new shades by printing alternating layers of different colors. We printed our chameleon on the Prusa XL, using Prusament Lipstick Red, Pineapple Yellow, Galaxy Black, Pristine White and Azure Blue.
Learn more about the technique in the blog article or the video below.
The model is sliced using virtual extruders. If you want to correctly open the 3MF file, make sure to use PrusaSlicer 2.9.6 (currently in beta), or EasyPrint. In EasyPrint, you can quickly create your own ColorMix color scheme using any spools you have at home.
We recommend printing the model without supports, at 0.15 mm layer height. At 0.1 layer mm height, the ColorMix shading effect should look even better, at the expense of longer print time.
The four-tool version (green chameleon + beige stand) only uses solid colors and can be printed on any multimaterial printer. We used Prusament Emerald Green, Simply Green, Azure Blue and Noctua Beige for our sample print.
We recommend printing the model without supports, at 0.20 or 0.15 mm layer height.
