Description
As the AK rifle platform features iron sights very close to the bore, the cheek rest is usually very low as well. Any red dot sight or scope mounted to the side rail or the dust cover will end up being too high and a cheek rest is needed to brace your face against the stock and see through the sight.
In case of my airsoft replica E&L AK-105 with a replica 5KU Zenitco PT-1 stock and red dot sight + magnifier combo mounted using a replica Spuhr combined mount, the sight is so high that even the adjustable cheek rest of the stock is not enough. For that reason I have made an extra riser for the cheek rest that mounts in between of the metal base and the rubber pad.
The riser is designed for a Zenitco PT-1 stock replica made by 5KU in the "Gen2" variant - differentiated by the cheek rest mounted by two screws instead of three. I am unable to test the fit of the riser on the "Gen1" or the original Zenitco stocks. If you try it out, I will appreciate any feedback. In case you need to tweak the dimensions a bit, there's also the file in STEP format.
Hardware needed: 3x M4x30 mm countersunk head screws
