Description
it's important you do NOT put this mount right at the front, it may interfere/crash with the Bed lead screw mount and cause issues. It must be at LEAST 60mm (6cm) away from the edge, shown below.
Anyway, back to the model..
I've recent become into possession of a K2SE (Glorified K1SE) and you may know they do not come with a camera OR even the wire for the K1 camera..
Great. -_-
So, I used my spare nebula and you can indeed use this camera via USB cable without any modifications.
However, they're is no place to put it!
After looking through multiple sites, downloading multiple models, even paid ones, I didn't find one that was,
a) Easy to print
b) Stiff enough to not wobble about during printing
c) Not some AI model thats been mashed together on a website giving a poor STL quality and look.
So after taking some inspiration from others mistakes & concepts, then using Henlors K1 model & Shawn Pollard Nebula model for dimensions, I've come up with this from scratch in CAD.
To install, you will need to remove the side bracing, it's only 4 bolts!
Then slide the mount on to the bracing bar.
Beware, it will be tight to slide on, it NEEDS to be tight otherwise it will wobble about won't it...it's a friction fit.
It's easier to mount the camera & bolt first then slide it on the side bracing.
I've included a screw/bolt for the camera, to keep it in place, and a tool to help screw it in if you don't have one, a flat bladed screwdriver will do the job.
Finally, As always, I've given out a STEP file for anyone to modify, adjust or improve on.
