1/10 Scale RC Car Wheel Set - Rims and Push Fit TPU Tyres - OR silicone moulds

A 1/10 scale rim and tyre set compatible with standard 12mm hex hubs on RC cars.

The tyres come in 3 different types, slick, paddle and trail and have been designed to be easy to print cleanly in TPU without supports (apart from the trail tyre).

All 3 rims are the same size and push fit design as all the tyres, so you can mix and match. The push fit design perfectly holds the tyres inside the rim with zero slip, no glue required! The grip bars also add extra strength to the rims side wall as a bonus.

The rims will all print face down (good for holographic plates), without supports, but for a cleaner centre hole i suggest support painting that small part as shown (auto supports should do it fine too).

Assembly is very simple, push your 12mm hex hub into the hex hole, push your chosen tyre over your chosen rim making sure the grip bars are aligned as you do so. Bolt them on to your car, done!

Print settings. You guys know your printers but what i did for the rims was 0.2 layer height with 3 walls in PLA and they feel very strong and havent broken yet, but would recommend PETG/ASA or ABS for longevity.

For the tyres it's TPU as soft as you can, i used 85a because its what i had. Im not an expert in printing with TPU and there is many factors you can adjust to alter the softness of the tyres - the walls, TPU type, infill density and pattern etc. I went with 2 walls and 7% TPMS-D infill pattern because it looked pretty and i used clear red TPU. They feel nice and tyre like.

Added silicone moulds for all tyres and an optional printable reinforcement rings to stiffen the silicone. Havent tried it yet but i will be when it arrives and will update again. Spray some mould release, clamp them together and pour in your chosen silicone through the holes.
