Description

Other Z Chain Transpose Mods mount to the traditional rear aluminum extrusion which Chaoticlab Carbon Fiber gantries do not have, of course. Here are Loogle's gantry mounts for both 15mm Generic and iGUS XY chains, plus Michael Browne's mount for the 20mm LDO kit Z chain adapted to use the Chaoticlab Z chain mount instead.

Print with recommended Voron slicer settings (0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer lines, 40% infill) with snug supports optional.

All mounts use their corresponding BaseMount and BaseMount hardware from Loogle's original (see: Voron 2.4 Z Chain Transpose by Loogle | Download free STL model | Printables.com )

For Gantry Mount hardware, the 15mm iGUS and 20mm LDO gantry mounts each need:

  • 2x M3x5x4 (Voron standard) heat set inserts

  • and 3x M3x10 flat head screws to connect to the Chaoticlab Z chain mount

The Generic 15mm mount also requires one more M3x5x4 heat set insert for a total of 3. And a 300mm Voron 2.4 needs 25 chain segments plus the two ends to support maximum Z height without the chain hitting the gantry. 250mm printers will require less and 350mm Vorons will require more. Please comment with the number you use if you post a make.

Happy printing!
