Description
The wired/wireless remote module for the Smittybilt x2O Gen2 winches (e.g. https://www.smittybilt.com/shop/winches/x2o-gen-2-10000lb) has a push-button to switch the mode between wired and wireless. There is a rubber boot over the top of the switch which, in addition to providing a bit of water resistance, extends the plunger on the button enough to actuate it. If the rubber boot wears through, the internal core/post that extends the button probably goes missing soon thereafter.
This model is a replacement for the entire rubber boot, including a core, inner post to restore the ability to toggle the remote between wired and wireless. Installing requires nearly full disassembly of the remote handle, but so does replacing the 27A (a.k.a. A27) 12v battery, so you might as well do that too. FWIW, the more common A23 (23A) battery seems to fit ok in the battery holder in the x2O remote. The A23 is ~2mm larger diameter, and may have slightly less (-10%) mAh capacity than the 27A, but is also said to have a longer idle shelf life.
Print with Flex/TPU to approximate the function of the original rubber boot.
Supports on outside are WAY easier to remove, so it might be best to flip the model upside down on build plate to avoid generating supports inside the boot.
