Hermann der Cherusker

Arminius (in einigen Quellen auch Armenius; * um 17 v. Chr.; † um 21 n. Chr.) war ein Fürst der Cherusker, der den Römern im Jahre 9 n. Chr. in der Varusschlacht mit der Vernichtung von drei Legionen eine ihrer verheerendsten Niederlagen beibrachte.

Arminius (in some sources also Armenius; * about 17 v. Chr.; † about 21 n. Chr.) was a prince of the Cheruscans, who gave the Romans in the year 9 n. Chr. in the Battle of Varus, with the destruction of three legions, contributed one of its most devastating defeats.
