Description
This a compact case for a Heltec T114 with 14500 battery and whip antenna.
There are 2 different versions:
Forward Battery - The battery is proud of the screen.
Reverse Battery - The battery is flush with the screen but protrudes out the back.
For both versions you can mirror the case and lid to switch which side the battery sits. The buttons should not be mirrored as the reset button is slightly recessed to prevent accidental presses.
Note: while the forward and reverse models look similar, their printed files are not interchangeable. They were designed separately, one after the other.

For the case, print vertically, manually adding support to the antenna nub.
Print the lid, buttons and battery button cap laying flat. The lid should have the grips touching the build plate.
I recommend mouse ears for the buttons, lid, and battery button cap.
If you would like the battery on the opposite side, mirror the case and lid only.
These are directions for assembling the forward battery model as supplied. Mirroring the model will result is slightly different assembly.
Use a pair of side cutters to snip the screen cover stand off flush with the T114 PCB on the side closest to the antenna.
Remove the screen cover and attach the QFL connector and thread it under the screen cover just behind the stand off that was just cut. Re-attach the screen cover.
Dry fit all parts together and ensure proper fitment before proceeding.
Prepare the spring by placing it in the cut out at the bottom of the battery slot. Carefully insert the battery and compress the spring. The battery should not protruded past the lip plus 1-2mm extra space for the button top and wire. Cut down the spring as necessary.
Once the spring is correctly sized, solder one side of the connector to the spring. There should be enough slack in the wire that you are able to (un)plug the connector into the T114 when the spring is glued to the bottom of the case.
Put a dab of super glue on the bottom of the spring and carefully thread it into the recess at the bottom of the battery slot. You can use the battery to gently hold the spring in place as the glue dries.
Prepare the battery button cap by stripping 5-8cm of wire and threading it through the button making an X on the side that will contact the battery.
Put a dab of super glue on the center of the bar connecting the two buttons together. Carefully maneuver the buttons into place. Let glue dry before testing T114 fitment.
Connect the battery cable to the T114. Hold the spring wire to the back of the case and partially insert the T114 into the case, stopping about 2/3 of the way.
Loop the SMA cable over then under the T114's GPS port. Insert the SMA into hole while continuing to lower T114 down at the same time. Mind the battery wires do not block the T114.
Once fully inserted, attach the lock washer and hex nut onto the SMA connector. Insert the battery (check polarity) and place the button top on. Using one hand to apply pressure to the battery to hold the button top below the lid as you slide it into place.
