ER-16 Collet Pin Vise Handle 8mm bolt (CCD-v7)
I have had many pin vises, and most aren't worth their money. This one was designed by a machinist (me). This will also work with the same 12mm ER collet shaft that is ER-11 and ER-8 versions.
I was going to design a handle, but PvtDBJackson has a great design. Love the "Snap-On" look and feel.
My CAD design is made so it does not need any internal supports. Hole closures are done by rectangular crossings trick.
Here is where the 12mm shaft steps down on the handle print.
Internal pocket for an 8mm washer to help strengthen the handle.
8mm washer added at pause.
Closing up the washer pocket after pause.
I used this ER-16 Collet tool holder.
The end opposite of the ER-16 collet has an 8mm x 1.25 internal thread. I used this as a type of drawbar setup for this handle.
Here is the screw / bolt that I used as the drawbar.

I hope you get as much use out of it as I have.
I also want to shout out to this creator for their 3d printable ER-16 collets. They are optional, as you can also use a steel collet. The plastic printed ones work very well.

This ER-16 1/4" hex collet was printed from PC-PBT filament from Push Plastics.

I do want to give a shoutout the creator of the 3d printed ER-16 collets.
This ER-16 1/4" hex collet was printed from PC-PBT filament from Push Plastics. With Klein 1/4" hex tool.
Here is it setup with a small drill bit used for deburring holes. This plastic collet was printed from 3-D Fuel Tough PRO PLA +. Handle was also printed from the same material.

I just updated this with the ER-16 Collet Wrench file. You can print your own collet wrench. I printed with the same specs as below.
For the Handle, I used the following print settings.
Printed on PRUSA CORE ONE.
0.4mm nozzle diameter
0.2mm step height
Bottom Layers - 6
Top Layers - 6
Vertical Layers - 6
15% Gyroid infill
Bed Temp - 60 deg C
Nozzle Temp - 230 deg C
I did use an Orange CryoGrip Frostbite printing plate. These things work wonders. Can only use water, no IPA to clean it.
