Description
A simple ball-mount adapter that fixes and allows fine-tuning of the Buddy3D camera viewing angle inside the Prusa Core ONE L enclosure.
The problem: The stock Buddy3D Cam position on the Core ONE L often results in a poor viewing angle — this mount lets you adjust it freely and lock it in place. This also eliminates the problem of the ventilation flap colliding with the cam.
How it works: The ball is screwed directly to the back cover of the Buddy3D Cam using 2×7 mm self-tapping screws. The socket/holder is a remix of the corner cap by @BuildX — Prusa Core ONE / ONE L Corner Cap (community test) — with an added ball socket for angle adjustment.
To improve grip and prevent the camera from drifting, a rubber O-ring (OD 17 mm, cross-section 1.75 mm) is fitted around the outside of the socket, compressing it onto the ball.
Print settings:
Material: PC recommended — the enclosed chamber can reach up to 65 °C. PETG works but may soften over time.
Layer height: ≤ 0.2 mm (finer = smoother ball rotation)
Walls: ≥ 4
Infill: ≥ 25%
BOM (per camera):
2× self-tapping screw D2×7 mm
1× O-ring, OD 17 mm, cross-section 1.75 mm
