Description
This is not the prettiest fix, but it has been working for months. The sandals tend to rip out at the back of the inner rear portion that the webbing goes through.
I had some gray Bambu Lab TPU 95A HF available so I designed and made this.
This fix does not call for any undoing of the webbing.
Mirror the part in your slicer to make a left sandal repair part if necessary.
If you want to make the fix without undoing any of the webbing cut the thinner portion of the part from the eyelet to the bottom (as seen in the photo). If don't mind unstitching and restitching the webbing from the buckle, you can omit cutting the part.
Trace the area where the part with bond onto the sandal with pencil. Coat that area, as well as the back of the printed part with good quality contact cement. Let dry per the contact cement instructions. slip the printed part over the webbing and press onto the sandal. Use a clamp to get really good adhesion.
