Decorative Fence Gate Latch (10.3 mm Tube)

This simple latch was designed to keep the gate closed on decorative metal fencing commonly used for temporary chicken runs, garden enclosures, and small animal pens.

The latch snaps over the gate and adjacent fence panel to prevent the gate from swinging open while still allowing quick access when needed.

The design is sized specifically for fencing constructed from approximately 10.3 mm diameter tubing. Please verify your fence dimensions before printing.

Material Recommendations

Because this part is used outdoors and flexes slightly during installation, the following materials are recommended:

• PETG (recommended)

• ASA

• ABS

• High-durometer TPU (95A or similar)

PLA is not recommended for long-term outdoor use.

Fit may vary depending on manufacturing tolerances and fence design.

Printing

Suggested settings:

• 0.20 mm layer height

• 3–4 perimeters

• 20–40% infill

• No supports required

If printing in PETG, orient the model as supplied in the 3MF file for best strength.
