Description
With this remix you can use one of your empty Prusament spools to mount the Hooting Owl Wind Chimes. It comes with a matching hex striker and sail.
Use the provided 3mf file to print directly.
Otherwise, print all models once except for the pegs for which you need nine.
works with PLA however keep in mind the colors may fade in the sun
0.2mm layer height
no supports needed
if the pegs are too tight, scale them a little bit
Disassemble an empty Prusament spool. You need one half.
Put a thread through the sail and striker, fixing both with a knot. Secure the thread on the other side at the lower base. Stick the lower base through the bottom (inner) hole of the spool side and screw on the cap from the other side.
Push three pegs from the bottom (inner) side of the spool (the pegs should be pretty tight) into three hexagonal holes at roughly 120 degrees distance. Use these pegs to mount the whole wind chime.
Push the remaining six pegs, two between each of the pegs from the last step, at roughly same distances. Use these pegs to mount the owls.
As always, here are the onshape sources for tinkering.
