IS-2m "Stalin Tank"

This model feature a bushing for the turret for smooth rotation, a cannon with elevation and depression, a smooth rotating machinegun, separated side accessories for modularity and other separated parts for easier multicolor and printing. It is in 1/72 scale.

The side accessories are separated so you can pick and choose what you prefer, you can use the log or fuel tanks on the left or right. You also have an option to not have a spare track at the front of the hull.

To print this model you need to use supports for the hull, machinegun, cannon and turret. I recommend doing the supports like in the pictures attached. All the STL models are already in the best print orientation. 

For assembly you need superglue, it is used for the suspension, spare track and side accessories.

For assembly you begin with putting the suspension on the hull, be sure that the suspension fits well before gluing it in place. when the suspension is on you can push on the tracks, they are friction fit so no glue needed.

Next is the bushing, the bushing needs to be snapped to have it rotate well. You do this by putting the bushing in the hull(if the fit is too loose you can use a bit of glue) and then using the turret for extra leverage to snap it loose.

When you have the turret in place you can push the cannon in the mantlet, the side walls need to flex to fit in the turret so you might need some force.

You can now assemble the cupola and machine gun, the machinegun didn't fit very easily for me and I had to cut some plastic away from the 1st layer. Be careful when putting it in it might be handy to use a small tool to push the machine gun in the cupola. When assembled you can just push the cupola in it's spot with a bit of force. You can also do that first if you find it easier to assemble.

The side accessories need to be glued in to stay attached, I have made some pictures for reference.

And as last you can push the spare track in, again if it is too loose for you you can use a bit of glue.
