Description
By spacing the fan away from the heatsink, turbulence is decreased resulting in less noise, additionally, by allowing some space under the fan hub, total airflow coverage on the heatsink should be increased resulting in better thermals.
This spacer is 4mm in total height, but you can adjust this in your slicer if you wish.
Simply place it over the existing heatsink screw stand-offs, and place your fan of choice over the top.
If the screws no longer reach, you can use shorter screws as shown below:
