Rotatable Drink Holder for Car

Factory car cup holders are generally too low forcing the driver to have his/her eyes off the road excessively while repeatedly grabbing and replacing the beverage cup. This novel approach addressees squarely that issue. This publication allows both the driver and passenger to be served by a single installation if only one wants to drink or if they are willing to share a drink (uhg!?) Since the cup is in nearer proximity to either mouth it minimizes the likelihood of spills and drips.

The -04 base uses significantly less filament with its scooped out back. The -04 holder requires M4 x 50 SHCS. The -07 holder requires M5x50 SHCS. Design is for a 2019 Infinity Q50 with spring loaded fingers. May work for other makes and models of cars.

Please first verify that the 2.87 inch (73mm) diameter at the base of the base is appropriate for your target car.

Depending on where you reside printing all three parts in ASA or ABS may be prudent due to possible ambient temperature exposure. For testing purposes only I've printed my set in PETG.
