Description
Panners are used to cover candies and nuts in sugar or chocolate coatings, spinning like a rock tumbler. I didn't want to spend $200 for the official KitchenAid-certified bowl on a stick, so I designed this thing to screw the bowl into. Ideally you would have two bowls together like a clamshell cement mixer, with a hole cut into the bottom of the second bowl.
Material: PETG
Infill: 100%
Infill pattern: aligned rectilinear
Supports: Yes
Notes:
IMPORTANT: The screw for the central hole should be almost as long as the shaft.
Must be printed with the shaft on its side, otherwise it's too weak.
The holes are just suggestions for screw locations, you'll have to widen them a bit to fit whatever screw you choose. It doesn't matter if the holes don't print perfectly round.
Use washers on the 5 base screws
I recommend putting it in the mixer and running it for a few minutes after removing the supports to help loosen it up. Then pour a little melted wax onto the moving surfaces and run a little longer.
After everything is put together, trim and file down the screws and use a food-safe epoxy to seal the screws and the inside seam where the bowls meet.
Here's an example of the kind of bowl setup you want (except using a drill motor in this case)
