Description
Historical Background:
The GAZ-47 is a Soviet tracked all-terrain vehicle developed in the late 1940s and produced in the 1950s. It was designed for operation in extreme conditions such as snow, swamps, tundra, and off-road terrain. Thanks to its wide tracks and lightweight construction, the GAZ-47 demonstrated excellent cross-country performance and was widely used by the military, geological expeditions, and rescue services in remote regions.
The vehicle became a symbol of reliable engineering for harsh environments, capable of transporting personnel and cargo where conventional vehicles could not operate.
Model Description:
This project is a radio-controlled (RC) scale model of the GAZ-47, fully 3D modeled and optimized for 3D printing. The model is designed in 1:18 scale and accurately captures the distinctive shape and proportions of the original tracked vehicle.
The model is intended for hobbyists interested in RC vehicles, military history, and functional 3D printed models. It is suitable for both display and active RC operation, depending on the chosen electronics and assembly configuration.
The design focuses on modularity and printability, allowing parts to be printed on standard consumer 3D printers(table size 250mm and more). The model can be customized, modified, or upgraded according to individual preferences.
Features:
- Scale: 1:18
- Based on the historical GAZ-47 tracked all-terrain vehicle
- Fully 3D modeled from scratch
- Designed for RC operation
- Optimized for 3D printing
- Modular construction for easier printing and assembly
- Ideal for hobbyists, collectors, and RC enthusiasts
This model was fully designed from scratch and tested in real RC operation.
