Description
I designed this simple soldering iron stand, which I personally find very useful for setting brass heat-set inserts into my 3D printed parts.
In addition to the 3D printed parts, this design is assembled using the following hardware:
Springs: 8 mm diameter x 47 mm – 2 pieces
M4 x 12 mm screws: 2 pieces
M3 brass heat-set inserts: 12 pieces
M3 x 6 mm button head hex drive screws: 9 pieces
M3 x 12 mm button head hex drive screws: 4 pieces
M3 washers: 5 pieces
M4 x 12 mm sheet metal screws: 4 pieces
The core component of this build is a drawer slide from the brand Mprofi MT (17 mm x 182 mm). I purchased mine on Amazon here in Spain.
