Description

This is the first time I’ve used the 0.8 mm nozzle, and I ran into problems because of the cheap, very low-quality filament. The matte PETG is a questionable blend that limits you to a very narrow temperature range of no more than 5 degrees Celsius. The additive or plastic blend used produces a carbonized residue that accumulates at the nozzle exit and sticks to the freshly extruded hot surface and at the end of a layer. Using "seam position" aligned will surprise you with all sorts of ugly deposits along that line; I previously used "random" to mitigate this effect on another project and found accumulated pieces of burnt residue in that small vessel. Using the "spiral vase" method for creating thin walls through continuous filament deposition, I managed to achieve a high-quality exterior wall. For a sturdier wall capable of supporting soil for flowers, I used this model, which you can see in the FreeCAD screenshot. At the point where the curves meet, the filaments have certainly "tangled" with each other. The seal is compromised at the base due to the material’s quality, but if I fill the columns with silicone, I might achieve the desired seal for a flower pot. If I don’t succeed, it will just be an interesting container for storing various items. If you like it, use the 8mm nozzle and be sure to use a single continuous filament in “spiral vase” mode. Printing will take 4 hours, and the vase weighs 260 grams. If you use the 0.4mm nozzle, printing will take 13 hours.  I have also attached a similar model with a slanted profile, it is beautiful but not as rigid as the straight one, if you like it you can print it identically and it will still take 4 hours.
