Description
I wanted minimal and easy to laser cut printhead after sheetmetal Monolith gantry installation.
There's Contender hotend in my photos, it has same mounting pattern and full length as Rapido UHF included in STEP file assebmly.
Mounting holes included for extruders: Orbiter 2/2.5, Sherpa micro, VZ Hextrudort.
Post processing after laser cutting required!
You will need to: cut M3 threads, do countersinking for hotend mounting holes and front standoffs' screws.
Ducts included for Rapido UHF and Goliath hotends (please do not forget to "Split to parts" in your slicer). If you need another height - just adjust length of Duct_back and Duct_spacer parts.
Duct Back part has mounting holes (for heat inserts) for ADXL345 board. I use Klicky probe, so just ignore if you use Beacon/Carto probe with integrated ADXL.
Sheet metal parts weight - 30g approx.
Assembled printhead weight - 270g approx.
It is presumed that you have MGN12 X rail.
Post processing:
Red - Countersink for FHCS screws
Green - M3 thread (I recommend using Helicoil inserts in aluminum parts, but that's up to you)
