Description
Shoe Hook – Footwear Carrying & Drying System
Wet, dirty, or bulky shoes often end up taking space in a backpack, lying on the floor, or cluttering a garage or entryway.
The Shoe Hook is a simple 3D-printed system designed to carry, store, and dry footwear.
The holder attaches either to the rear pull loops of the shoes or directly through the laces, making it compatible with a wide range of footwear. Once attached, the shoes can easily be hung from a backpack, motorcycle, locker, wall hook, drying rack, or any suitable hanging point.
Its compact design keeps footwear organized, off the ground, and easy to transport.
Why use a carabiner?
The carabiner is not an afterthought but a deliberate design choice.
Instead of creating a single rigid assembly, the system is divided into two separate elements:
A suspension hook.
A footwear holder.
The carabiner provides a free-moving connection between both parts, allowing the shoes to naturally align under their own weight.
This design offers several advantages:
Better adaptation to different hanging points.
Easier attachment to backpacks, motorcycles, lockers, and drying racks.
Reduced mechanical stress on the printed parts.
Improved modularity.
The footwear holder can also be used independently with any compatible carabiner.
The model is designed to work with a carabiner made from 4–5 mm diameter wire.

About the Project
This project was born from a simple need: carrying and drying different types of footwear without dirtying a backpack, cluttering a locker, or leaving shoes on the floor.
The design has been tested with several types of footwear, including sneakers, safety shoes, and motorcycle boots. Depending on the shoe design, the holder can be attached either to the rear pull loop or directly through the laces.
