Description

I wanted to finally mount my projector on the ceiling and wasn't keen on all the mounts out there.

First of all I wanted to drop it down a bit so I don't have to skew the screen as much. Hence I made it adjustable with a simple pin to hold it in place so I can keep it higher or lower it down within seconds and still might make a longer extension.

Second of all I want to use more screen space at night and go bit closer during the day just to get the brightness up hence it is possible to slide it in front of back both ways around to actually get the most out of it as moving the screen itself would is lot more work for me.

Lastly I do play VR games in the living room so it easily slides off so I don't break it off when using my oculus quest 2 plus I can use it in multiple rooms so damn easy now as I have all the mounts and screens same distance away.

For myself and people that don't mind breaking things I made a version that requires you to cut off the stand and use the ratchet from it to glue into the forks but knowing some people would mind that and it would not take that long to model full non destructive replacement part as well. Just pop off the rubber bit on side and unscrew the stand.

Almost forgot I still left place in the fork for the threaded insert that I simply cut out from the original stand and reinserted into mine. I got to love ultrasonic knife for these projects as they cut the plastic so damn clean and like butter making custom projects so easy.

PS I might end us making a locking peg just in case you are forgetful like me.
